Respectful greetings to Father Joseph Phong Nguyen,
I am Sister Therese Can Thi Thanh Tam, a member of the Lovers of the Holy Cross of Hung Hoa. I currently serve at the Lovers of the Holy Cross community in Hau Thao—a region inhabited entirely by the Hmong people—where I oversee healthcare and charitable ministries amidst the misty mountains of the Northwest.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Father and the generous benefactors of the “Divine Mission for the Poor” for your support in providing us with additional funds to care for the poor, the elderly, and the lonely – helping them obtain the essential daily necessities they need, particularly during times of hardship. We are especially grateful that, in June 2025, Father and the benefactors personally visited this remote mountainous region to distribute gifts to the local residents.
May the Risen Jesus bestow upon you, Father, and upon our cherished benefactors, an abundance of joy and the grace of God—the God of Love. We humbly ask that you continue to walk alongside us in our service to the poor, and especially to our Hmong brothers and sisters in the mist-shrouded mountains of the Northwest.
