The Hope Shelter of Vincent Huong Phuong, Quang Binh

Huong Phuong March 13, 2026

The Hope Shelter of Vincent Huong Phuong, Quang Binh, extends its warmest greetings to Father Joseph Phong Nguyen and the esteemed benefactors of the “Divine Mission for the Poor, INC” Association.

Dear Father and all benefactors of the Association,

I would like to introduce a little about our Shelter.

Our Hope Shelter of Vincent Huong Phuong, Quang Binh, was established in 2005. Currently, we are caring for and nurturing 90 orphaned, disabled children and elderly people living alone. At the same time, we are also providing intervention and education for 130 children aged 2 to 7 with autism, ADHD, language disorders, behavioral disorders, and speech delays.

We are deeply honored to have met Father Joseph Phong Nguyen through an introduction from a nun. Initially, we didn’t know who he was, nor did he know anything about our orphanage; we only knew about it through that introduction. Yet, with the mission of a passionate shepherd and his love for orphaned and disabled children, he has proven himself remarkable.

He silently and unconditionally helped the Shelter, without needing any proof, thank-you letters, or photos. And from that, the connection between his “Divine Mission for the Poor, INC.” and our Hope Shelter of Vincent Huong Phuong began.

We wholeheartedly thank Father Joseph and all the benefactors of the “Divine Mission for the Poor, INC” Association for always accompanying and helping our shelter. May God and Our Lady of Lavang bless the good work of the Association, full of God’s love and overflowing with human compassion.

Wishing Father and all benefactors good health, peace, and an abundance of God’s love.

Sincerely,

Sister Anna Phan Thi Luan
